Uruguay registered this Saturday 1,213 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 7,705 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 15.7%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (antigen and PCR).
What’s more, there were seven deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 70 and 84 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 7,090 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 9,958 active cases across the country and 78 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 238 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 1,213 new cases, 578 were from Montevideo, 194 from Canelones, 58 from Maldonado, 47 from Cerro Largo, 46 from Colonia, 41 from San José, 33 from Florida, 28 from Durazno, 27 from Rivera, 24 from Lavalleja, 21 from Paysandú, 20 from Treinta y Tres, 17 from Artigas, 16 from Río Negro, 16 from Rocha, 16 from Salto, 13 from Tacuarembo, 12 from Soriano and six from Flores.
All departments report infected people this Saturday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 4,498. follow him cannelloni (1,515), Cologne (662) and Maldonado (450), among others.
