The sectoral vice president of Defense and Sovereignty and Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, assured that any attempt by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to destabilize Venezuela will fail.
«No attempt to destabilize the Venezuelan nation will pass through here. They will be able to put I don’t know how many bodies assigned to the CIA, in cover operations, from any flank of the nation, and any attempt will fail, as it has failed until now,” said Padrino López as part of the Costa Independencia 200 deployment.
Likewise, he recalled that the threat of the CIA is latent in every corner where there is a United States (US) embassy, so it is not only a risk for Venezuela, but for all countries in the world.
“We do not have to be telling a story about all the conquests and victories of the Bolivarian Revolution to preserve the peace of this country, to keep this country standing, with dignity, what we are going to do is a story, the people already know it and we know that the CIA is present not only in Venezuela, but in all parts of the world. Where there is a United States (US) embassy, the CIA will be operating there,” he specified.
The defense of the Homeland is everyone’s task
The Minister highlighted that the task of defending the nation is a joint effort between the organized people and the troops of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb).
“The defense tasks are not exclusive to the Fanb, the defense tasks of a homeland are the responsibility of an entire people, of an entire nation, of an entire State, of its institution, of all its public and private potential, of everyone’s participation, it is everyone’s responsibility,” he explained.
Likewise, he stressed that “all the deployment we are doing is to” counteract the military threat deployed in the Caribbean, a gross military threat against the region and also to protect internally from any act of destabilization of the country.
Padrino López indicated that each of the operations carried out by Fanb also seeks to “reach the optimal point of the State, of the people of Venezuela in a perfect fusion of popular, military, and police, that is a strategy (…) to guarantee our people, their lives and their rights.”
It should be noted that this Thursday, October 23, at 4:00 am, the Costa Independencia 200 deployment began, from various points in the country, as part of the plan to defend the sovereignty and peace of Venezuela.
