Covid-19: Brazil has 45 thousand cases and 289 deaths in 24 hours

Covid-19: Brazil records more than 26.53 million confirmed cases

Brazil recorded 45,020 cases of covid-19 in 24 hours, according to the bulletin released this Saturday by the Ministry of Health. In the same period, there were 389 deaths from the disease. The numbers do not include data from Mato Grosso and the Federal District, units of the Federation whose Health Departments did not update the data until the release of the bulletin.Covid-19: Brazil has 45 thousand cases and 289 deaths in 24 hours

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 29,350,134 cases and 654,945 deaths from Covid-19. The number of recovered is 27,671,593 and there are 1,023,596 cases in follow-up.

States

São Paulo is the unit of the Federation with the highest number of cases and deaths, with 5.12 million and 166 thousand, respectively. In terms of the number of cases, the second and third places are occupied by Minas Gerais (3.26 million) and Paraná (2.38 million). The lowest numbers of cases are in Acre (123,370), Roraima (154,562) and Amapá (160,205).

Among deaths, São Paulo is followed by Rio de Janeiro (72,180) and Minas Gerais (60,319). The lowest numbers of deaths are in Acre (1,988), Amapá (2,118) and Roraima (2,139).
