Two people were charred to death this morning, October 22, 2025, after a twin-engine plane crashed and caught fire inside the facilities of the Paramillo Aerodrome, located in the Pueblo Nuevo sector of San Cristóbal, Táchira state.
The incident occurred around 9:52 am, in the hangar area, and mobilized the National Risk Management System to put out the flames.
The emergency procedure was activated by the fire of the fixed-wing aircraft, which was in the free combustion phase at the time of the arrival of the rescue teams from the REDAN Los Andes and the ZOEDAN Táchira.
According to preliminary information, the aircraft, identified with the registration YV-1443 in a later report, would have suffered the accident during the takeoff phase.
The competent authorities in the aerial investigation are at the scene of the incident to begin the investigations to determine the exact causes of the accident. The scene has been secured.
