At the closing ceremony of the International Anti-imperialist and Anti-Fascist Conference, which took place this Wednesday at the Casa Amarilla “Antonio José de Sucre”, the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, stated that the truth of Venezuela is defended from the streets and before the world, despite the hostile policy promoted by the North American empire against the South American country.
”We are fighters, we are militants of humanity and I call on all political parties, communes and social movements to defend the sovereignty of our country, with the peace and joy that characterizes us as Venezuelans,” he said.
He urged the 52 delegations that participated in this international event to “establish a favorable debate to counteract the effects of fascism and build alternatives that rescue the values of the independence achieved by our liberators.”
Regarding the position of the Venezuelan people regarding the war actions of the United States (USA), the chancellor highlighted that “today we have the responsibility of building a future and a new form of participatory and leading popular government.”
In this context, the president of the Simón Bolívar Institute for Peace and Solidarity among Peoples (ISB), Blanca Eekhout, assured that this space served as a platform to build a geopolitics based on equity, sovereignty and international solidarity.
“We have to organize and move forward to confront the psychological, criminal, bestial and dehumanizing war that Donald Trump’s government has imposed, and we will defeat it through socialism,” he said.
This international event reached the conclusion that the World Anti-imperialist Platform strongly condemns all military acts of aggression against Venezuela, and also commits to deepening and expanding international solidarity between peoples.
