The main roads of the city of Huancavelica were blocked by stones and burning tires, as part of the indefinite strike called by the transporters of the ten urban service lines that operate in the province.

The forceful measure was announced days ago through a memorial addressed to the provincial mayor, in which the representatives of the transport companies demanded compliance with the agreements established in the minutes of July 8 of this year. According to them, the municipality had not met the commitments made regarding the regulation of transportation and other pending points.
From the early hours, protesters blocked different streets and accesses to the city, preventing vehicular traffic and generating congestion in several areas. The transporters indicated that the stoppage will be indefinite and that they will continue to move daily until the local authorities comply with what was agreed.
