Santo Domingo. – The United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic announced that will not offer services this Wednesday, October 22due to the adverse weather conditions caused by the Tropical Storm Melissawhich continues to generate heavy rain and strong gusts of wind in various provinces of the country.
Through a statement released this Tuesdaythe diplomatic mission reported that all appointments and consular procedures —including those related to visas, passports and other services— will be rescheduled once operations resume normally.

The embassy asked American citizens and the general public Stay tuned for official information of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and of National Institute of Meteorology (Indomet)as well as the communication channels of the diplomatic headquarters for future updates.
