SUNCA now serves its members in Colon Casi Mata
The Departmental Directorate of SUNCA has a new Union House where it can carry out all its activities.
Since this Tuesday, the attention of the Departmental Referent of the Social Fund began at the location located on Colon Street between Doroteo Navarrete and Boulevard Mata, microcenter of the city of Melo.
“We are opening the new headquarters. Starting today –for Tuesday the 21st- We are already assisting our colleagues. Here we have a large place, better amenities to receive workers, even for those who visit us from the capital of the country who can have a bedroom where they can stay so as not to pay for lodging.” manifested Walter Moraiz.
“This new headquarters is located at Colon 874 between Navarrete and Mata” confirmed to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
“It is a beautiful place with a large background, barbecue, garage and all the conditions that we were needing. We are waiting, because starting today they were going to start buying in Montevideo, the rest of the furniture to decorate this headquarters” said the Departmental Reference of the Social Construction Fund.
“We are already providing different services such as FOCER, FOSVOC and FOCAP. Serving as always between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, while on Fridays it closes at 4 p.m.” Moraiz reported.
“We were on Boulevard Mata, a beautiful spot, but we were hidden, not very visible, because the business next to us had invaded our front” he remembered. “It had taken away a lot of our visibility and our colleagues had to search. There were people who spent 1 or 2 hours trying to locate the location to complete a 10-minute procedure” stated the Cerro Largo union leader.
Months of intense movement are coming at the Union Headquarters taking into account that before the end of the year registration will be opened for the delivery of sets of supplies for primary and secondary school students. “The documentation begins to be received and there are crowds of people. In the other location we really didn’t have space, people practically had to walk on top of the cars, it was uncomfortable” he stated.

“We were talking with the Referent of the agreements so that he could come and sign the agreement with Club Unión” said the SUNCA leader from Cerro Largo.
“This issue is quite advanced. It is an agreement for the use of the pool in the summer because there are workers who do not go on vacation and their children have nowhere to go.” he stated.
