This Tuesday, the National Assembly (AN) approved the Draft Agreement in commemoration of the 13 years of the “Coup de Timón”, Commune or Nothing, promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez.
Deputy Juan Carlos Sierra, member of the Permanent Commission for the Development of the Communes of the AN, recalled that moment where Chávez spoke for the first time about the bases of the real transformation of the State.
“On October 20, 2012, the Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías, delivered before the Council of Ministers the historic speech known as Coup de Timón that laid the programmatic foundations and guidelines for the real transformation of the State,” Sierra indicated, AVN reported.
Likewise, he assured that with the “Rudder Coup”, Commander Chávez paved the way for a new model of participatory and leading democracy, at the same time that he urged the overcoming of the rentier model and direct attention to the needs of the people.
“A self-critical and more efficient government as a method for the rectification and strengthening of public policies, as well as the need to promote a new State to overcome the rentier model and direct attention to the needs of the people,” highlighted the deputy.
For his part, the first vice president of the AN, Pedro Infante Aparicio, highlighted that in this new phase of construction of the communal State, President Maduro has delivered more than 20 thousand works in infrastructure, health, education, services, sports, science and technology that were winners in the National Popular Consultation where the communities voted for the election of their projects.
He also recalled that the next National Popular Consultation will be held on November 23, called by the head of state.
