COE confirms that earthquake did not cause damage in Ocoa
Santo Domingo.– The director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), Juan Manuel Méndez, reported that the province of San José de Ocoa, epicenter of the magnitude 5.0 tremor recorded this Monday afternoon, no damage reported.
“Until this moment, thank God, there are no reports of damage. Perhaps it was felt more because it was a superficial earthquake, with little depth, which makes it perceived with greater intensity,” Méndez explained.
