Pérez Jáen pointed out that the auditor David Colmenares protects Adán Augusto López, since no actions have been taken for the diversion of resources.
“They kept those audits in the investigation area and the dream of the righteous has been sleeping there, that is, since 2021. This loss of 2019, of more than 700 million pesos, and absolutely nothing has happened,” Pérez said after filing the complaint.
“Senator Adán Augusto López Hernández, here is the evidence of the corruption of your administration in 2019 and 2020,” he added.
In September, Pérez Jaén filed a demand for impeachment against Senator Adán Augusto López Hernández, so that his jurisdiction could be withdrawn and he could be investigated for alleged acts and omissions that allegedly favored organized crime during his management as governor of Tabasco, from January 2019 to August 2021.
According to the PAN member, the alleged responsibility that the leader of the Morena bench in the Senate has is for appointing and maintaining in office as Secretary of Security in his state administration Hernán Bermúdez Requena, who is accused of being the leader of the criminal group “La Barredora”.
“It is well known that since he was the hierarchical superior of his Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, during his period as Governor of Tabasco, he had knowledge of the illicit activities,” states the document delivered to the Chamber of Deputies.
“It involves the commission of various crimes by the current senator and coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group in the Senate of the Republic, such as influence peddling, bribery, cover-up,” said Pérez Jaén.
If these are proven, the dismissal and disqualification of López Hernández would proceed, he estimated, for up to 20 years, as well as the opening of any corresponding criminal proceedings.
Adán Augusto has been involved in controversial cases for months. First by Hernán Bermúdez, his former Secretary of Security; later for millions of pesos that he allegedly did not report to the SAT.
López was one of the closest men to then-president Andrés Manuel López Obrador. At the time he sought Morena’s presidential candidacy.
