The auxiliary bishop of Caracas, Monsignor Carlos Márquez, considered that Saints José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles They are “an example of true Venezuelanness.”
He considered that this act shows that “a country full of joy, faith, and brotherhood is possible and all Venezuelans have to build it.”

During a telephone interview offered to Unión Radio, the auxiliary bishop of Caracas expressed: “This is too great an emotion. This allows us to see the possible Venezuela, the Venezuela that we all want, full of joy, love, love for God.”
He insisted: “José Gregorio Hernández and mother Carmen Rendiles are the example, the icon, of true Venezuelanness (…) They show us the excellence of Venezuelans”.
On the other hand, he indicated that to be holy is to be happy. “The only way to be happy is to live for everyone, in the love that Christ gives us, based on love, service and fraternity,” he expressed.
And he added: “The path is none other than holiness in the love of Christ, it is too great an emotion because it allows us to see the possible Venezuela.”
