Caribbean, a zone of peace?

Líderes participantes en el IX Cumbre de la CELAC

With Venezuela and Nicaragua, the Cuban regime forms the three points of a triangle of evil that it itself forged in Havana

HAVANA.- To maneuver as they please, under a pacifist rhetoric that would serve as a protective mantle in the eyes of the world, one day they decided to promote from the CELAC the idea of declaring Latin America and the Caribbean as a “Zone of Peace”.

Thus, the most criminal and terrorist regimes in our region managed in 2014 to pass themselves off as good guys, perhaps to look pretty in the eyes of Barack Obama whom Raúl Castro was seducing with “good intentions” or because the nonagenarian who today presides over the National Defense Council, still against the Constitution who reserves that right to Miguel Díaz-Canel, wanted to go away with the Nobel Peace Prize just to annoy his brother, who longed for it so much in his last days.

They were the same brazen people who mobilized just yesterday, with signs of hate against Israel, not for the end of the war in the Middle East or to celebrate the peace agreement, but for the legitimization of Hamas; what they send thousands of soldiers to enlist in the Russian army against Ukraine; who continually launch provocations against Guyana in its claims to the Essequibo; that install Chinese spy bases in their territories; that make military pacts with Belarus and send weapons hidden in sugar shipments to North Korea. The same ones who have an extensive history of collaboration with terrorist groups where they exist and have existed.

Those who think that this pacifist rhetoric has not been of much use to them do not take into account how quickly the governments of the world, after that 2014 declaration, designed one hundred percent within the Cuban Foreign Ministry and under the proposal and supervision of Raúl Castro, have forgotten that behind all the wars, guerrillas and other military conflicts throughout South America, from the 60s to the present, the Cuban regime has been the main promoter and sponsor.

That even Cuba has functioned as a magnet with the ability to attract fugitives from justice, such as the former member of the Black Panthers Joanne Chesimard; cold-blooded murderers like the Argentine Ernesto Guevara; and spreaders of terror like all the members of ETA who were treated in Cuban hospitals as war heroes and not as the bloody extremists who flooded Spain with panic and death. The same Spain that today decides, once again, to renegotiate debts and non-payments of the Castro regime, as a reward for its proverbial hypocrisy.

They did it with ETA in Spain as with Luminous Path in Peru. They infected all universities from Chile to Mexico with extremism and radicalism, even some in the United States. They filtered and infiltrated the main guerrilla groups in the region, subsequently giving way to the creation of gangs and drug trafficking groups whose objective was and continues to be to create chaos in the United States, making the social situation more difficult to control every day.

An intelligence operation that became evident in recent years with the migration crisis, in which Cuba, Nicaragua and Mexico articulated strategies to increase the flow of migrants towards the southern border of the United States, perhaps pursuing economic benefits, possibly even reaching (in the case of the Cuban regime, the much-coveted “negotiating table” as the situation reached the proportions of an invasion), but without a doubt a penetration operation. massive, and the proof is in the dozens of former soldiers, former leaders and accomplices of the dictatorship who managed to cross the border and settle without incident in “enemy territory.”

If the White House policy regarding emigration had not changed, and if it had not been for the intense denunciation campaigns on social networks, the Cuban dictatorship would have deployed in the United States its largest intelligence (and therefore war) operation in the last thirty years (which has not been completely neutralized, while the groups of Cubans who have arrived in the United States in the last five years need deep scrutiny). In this way, it becomes evident that the main promoter of the “Caribbean as a Zone of Peace” initiative is actually an old destabilizing machinery, which was never deactivated with the end of the so-called “Cold War.”

Today that machine, according to the most recent statements by Vladimir Putin, as well as the complaints coming from Ukraine, is fully involved in the war against kyiv and may even become the main source of troops, drawn from that same army whose generals, in their entirety, were trained in Moscow, in tune with the warlike needs of a Russia that aspires to return to a “past of glory” that it never had, unless the times of the USSR could be called glorious, with all the hunger and absence of freedoms, which we know well around here.

The Cuban regime, through its foreign minister, has said that it will not get involved in a military conflict between Venezuela and the United States, but those of us who live in Cuba and know the military neighbor or the “black beret” friend who have urgently taken “on a mission” these days—perhaps even amounting to a troop—, those of us who have seen in the streets of Havana as in the other provinces, the unusual nervousness of the olive green bellies—more so with the reactivation of the Defense Council—, we know that they are getting ready to close ranks with Maduro, and that this fuel as if it appeared out of nowhere, and that alleviates the blackouts these days, is not “coincidental.”

But, even with the history and the evidence, the world not only believes the story of the “peace zone” but many of those who have invented it – who are the same ones who still force children to swear to “be like Che” – have believed it because they repeat it so much. They may even shed tears already in the marches against Israel as in those that will come as a “shock task” in favor of the drug trafficker Nicolás Maduro, and those that they would do with their eyes closed in support of the Ortega-Murillo dictatorial duo, because, with Venezuela and Nicaragua, the Cuban regime forms the three points of a triangle of evil that it itself forged in Havana.
