The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that a day like today, October 20, marks thirteen years since the historic “Rudder Coup” of Commander Hugo Chávez, highlighting more than 20 thousand works promoted by popular power.
Through his telegram channel, the president recalled that Chávez gave him the most important mission of the revolution, entrusting the communes as his own life. The validity of the dreams, the theory and the guidelines that Chávez left are undeniable, he said.
“At that crucial moment, he gave me the most important mission of the Revolution, telling me: “Nicolás, I entrust you to the communes as my own life.” That gesture was an act of profound education and supreme trust, which set the course for us in the new society,” he recalled in his emotional words when remembering Hugo Chávez.
The Commander sowed the idea of Popular Power, of empowerment; and turned the innate rebellion against imperialism into a creative and emancipatory force. “For this reason, his mandate: ‘Commune or Nothing!’ is the unavoidable horizon,” he expressed.
The “Rudder Stroke” is the masterful route to build participatory and leading democracy; the political model of the 21st century that buried the “failed and exhausted bourgeois democracy of elites.”
It should be noted that this ordering of Hugo Chávez to his government team was with the objective of deepening the territorial socialism of the 21st century, as well as the participatory and leading democracy of Venezuela.
