Brazilian Marcus D´Almeida shone, this Sunday (19), in the Archery Finals held in Najing (China). In the competition, which brings together the eight best in the world ranking of the sport, the Rio native won the silver medal after being defeated by the North American Brady Elison by a score of 6 to 4.

“I leave this season with the feeling of duty accomplished. There were many podiums, constant evolution and the return to number 1 in the world rankings. The details made the difference, and it is on them that I continue working every day. Thank you for all the support throughout the year. It was only the first year of the cycle. We still have many gold medals ahead of us”, declared the Brazilian after the achievement.
This is the fourth opportunity that Marcus D´Almeida has reached the podium at the Finals. The Rio native was also runner-up in 2014, champion in 2023 and bronze in 2024.
