The Judiciary ordered the preliminary detention for seven days of the National Police non-commissioned officer Luis Magallanes Gavidia, designated as allegedly responsible for the murder of Eduardo Ruiz Sanzknown as Trvko in the hip hop scene, a young protester who died during the police repression of October 15 in the Cercado de Lima.
The measure was dictated by the Ninth National Preparatory Investigation Court at the request of the Public Ministry, which is investigating Magallanes for the alleged crime of qualified homicide. Video records locate the officer in the area where Ruiz was hit by a projectile fired around Plaza Francia in the Center of Lima.
