The Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CESFronT) seized 250 pounds of a vegetable that is presumed to be marijuanathrough intelligence work in Elijah Pineapple.
The operation, carried out by members of CESFront assigned to the Border Operations Base Coronel Elijah Pineapplewith prior coordination with the Public Ministry, was carried out in the so-called Callejón de Quelín, in the Sabana Cruz municipal district.
During this work, the citizens Willin Morillo Rosario and Danilo Morillo Encarnación were arrested, who were traveling on two horses carrying five sacks, when they were seized inside, the amount of 25 bales of a vegetable that is presumed to be marijuanaweighing 250 pounds, to be confirmed at the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).
As for the animals, together with the seized bales, they were delivered under certification to members of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), for the corresponding legal purposes.
In another order, the institution in charge of border security seized 2,190 units of Point brand cigarettes, through intelligence work carried out at a checkpoint, near the Yaque del Norte River bridge in Montecristi province.
