A former member of the “Tres Villalobos” along with Algredo Despaigne and Yoenis Céspedes, Samón leads the batting average with .421, thanks to 48 hits in 114 visits to the plate.
Likewise, the former player from Granma, Matanzas and Industriales, dominates the doubles section with 19 and slugging with .772.
Another that stands out with a stick in hand is Pedro Pablo Revilla from Guantanamo, leader in home runs with ten, while Yoelkis Guibert from Santiago stands out with 33 in runs scored, and Yunier Mendoza from Sancti Spiritus with 32 in RBIs.
In triples, Jorge Álvarez from Camagüey commands with five, while Richel López from Cienfuegos shares the lead with the legendary player from Sancti Spiritus Frederich Cepeda, both with 38.
Among pitchers, Pedro Álvarez de Industriales is 5-0 and leads the win-loss average with a thousand; while Ariel Zerquera from Sancti Spiritus is the leader in earned runs with 1.03, and Hermes González from Cienfuegos with six wins.
The pitcher who has struck out the most so far is the left-hander from Matanzas Yoanni Yera with 41 and the most uncontrolled are Manuel Murgado, from Artemisa and Alexander Valiente from Guantánamo with 36 walks given away.
