The Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba company (LADC) conquered the public with its first performances in Bulgaria, according to the assessment of several media outlets in that nation.
Given the impact of its only presentation at the Sport Arena Asarel, for which the available tickets were sold out, it was necessary to schedule a second performance, review the Prensa Latina (PL) agency.
The dance company presented the Cuba Vibra show in the Balkan nation before an audience eager to appreciate the fusion of rhythms and dances proposed by teacher Litz Alfonso, who has directed the group for more than three decades.
“The reception from the public was beautiful, moving, from the first moment they connected with the company and the show,” Alfonso stressed to the media. The former dancer and choreographer pleased her followers by teaching a master class in which Spanish dances, ballet, contemporary dance, folklore and different Cuban, Afro-Cuban and urban popular dances were combined.
“I loved that people of all generations attended the presentations, and I could also notice that among their applause and smiles there was a great love for Cubans and for Cuba,” said the director of the prestigious group.
Before the performances in Bulgaria, the company participated as a guest at the 27th Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music, the largest and most prestigious annual arts event in Thailand.
LADC will soon take on new national and international projects, among which those linked to the celebrations in Havana for the 35th anniversary of the company’s founding stand out, and which have been scheduled throughout 2026.
