Moments of tension were experienced at the Huancayo Benevolent Society, after four armed criminals entered the institution’s garage and took an official van with license plate EAI-669 along with around 250 soles, tickets and keys to other vehicles.

The assault occurred around 7:15 at night, when the subjects overpowered the 37-year-old guard, tied him up, and abandoned him outside the premises. Hours later, at 6:30 in the morning, Serenazgo personnel received a report from residents of the Ocopilla sector about an abandoned truck in the San Francisco passage.
Upon arriving at the scene, the agents found that it was the stolen vehicle. The criminals had tried to erase the institutional logos and manipulate the license plate to avoid identification.

The president of the Charity, Miguel Chamorro Torres, confirmed that the case was placed in the hands of the National Police, which is already carrying out investigations to identify and capture those responsible for the theft.
