General Óscar Arriola, general commander of the National Police of Peru, reported that third-grade non-commissioned officer Luis Magallanes was responsible for the shot that caused the death of the singer Eduardo Ruiz32 years old.
“The author of that shot is the third-rate non-commissioned officer Luis Magallanes, belonging to the Criminal Investigation Directorate, not the Terna group,” he said.
Arriola pointed out that Magallanes acted in isolation from the planning of the National Police and both he and his partner, who can be seen in images, are detained.
“In the images we can see another police officer approaching and, upon seeing an injured person, he also leaves in the direction of Magallanes. Both are in custody.”
At another time, General Arriola also reported that his direct bosses will be discharged.
“The legal leadership of the Public Ministry, as well as the administrative investigations, has decided to remove from office the generals who have direct influence, both in the function in charge of yesterday’s orders and the specialty on which a detailed investigation must be carried out,” he explained.
It is known that non-commissioned officer Luis Magallanes, the singer’s murderer; He is still in the Luis Sáenz hospital with multiple trauma. Likewise, after the investigations carried out with the head of Homicide, the prosecutor’s office is being informed of the facts.
The Police commander emphasized that the investigations should be carried out by a common prosecutor, since the events were totally isolated from police planning.
General Arriola apologized to the rapper’s family and friends
At another time, Óscar Arriola once again emphasized the condolences of the National Police to the family and friends of the deceased singer.
“May God rest him in his glory, I apologize to his family on behalf of the 140,000 police officers,” he said before leaving the press conference.
