At the Reclusorio Oriente, private experts conducted a psychiatric study on Lex Ashton to determine his mental health status, reported defense attorney David Retes. Another evaluation will be added to this evaluation, from the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City; It was expected to take place yesterday, but until the afternoon the experts had not gone to the prison, located in the Iztapalapa mayor’s office.
Asked about this, Retes explained that the results of the psychiatric study will be presented before the control judge, so that he can consider the “forensic scientific” factor that triggered the crime on September 22 in the CCH Sur.
He pointed out that his client does not remember the event in which he was involved, which is why, he said, it is essential that his mental state be considered, since “we are not facing a common case.”

He added that one of the questions in the expert report required the accused to narrate the event, but the only thing he answered was that he did not remember.
“When we ask him if he actually remembered anything, he is stunned,” said the defender.
“His physical appearance doesn’t lie,” he commented, “that’s why it was important for the prosecution’s expert to attend”; however, he did not show up.
Outside the oral rooms of Doctor Lavista, in the Doctores neighborhood, the criminal lawyer did not say what other evidence he would present to the judge, but assured that the evaluations in psychology and psychiatry “were fundamental.” He said that they will provide all the evidence at their disposal to prove that Lex Ashton was in a psychotic state when he committed the murder.
