Following the attack perpetrated by the United States (USA) on a boat that was allegedly transporting drugs and sailing off the coast of Venezuela, where six people died, the possible death of two Trinidadian citizens is being investigated, as reported by Trinidad and Tobago police authorities to AFP.
US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday the execution of this new attack since Washington deployed military ships near the Venezuelan coast in August with the excuse of combating drug trafficking.

According to the Trinidadian police’s telephone contact with AFP, the investigation began when residents of the fishing village Las Cuevas, located north of Trinidad, reported to the authorities about the presence of these two fishermen who were reportedly on board the boat. However, the agents have not confirmed or denied the information.
Relatives and residents demand answers, as they assure that one of the deceased named Chad Joseph was not a trafficker, he was just a young man trying to return home after having been in the fishing village.
Cornell Clement, Joseph’s grandfather, now questions the Trump Administration’s method of dealing with the situation.
Calls and messages were made to the government authorities of Trinidad and Tobago, but have not received responses.
This is the fifth attack carried out by the US since it sent its military troops to the waters of the Caribbean Sea.
