Senate endorses those close to Morena as Administrative Justice magistrates

When presenting the profiles, the president of the Finance and Public Credit Commission, Miguel Ángel Yunes Márquez, assured that these people meet the suitability, legal and technical requirements, and also “demonstrate the commitment of the head of the executive to provide the best profiles for the administration of justice.”

Senator Claudia Anaya commented that the five come from the same political group that has governed Mexico City for the last 30 years and added that the three powers are from the same political group in reference to Morena.

“There is no division of powers in this country. That is what the abuse of power of authoritarianism leads to: impudence and cynicism,” commented the PRI member.

Meanwhile, PAN member Raymundo Bolaños explained that this Court defines the institutional balance of the country, since it resolves controversies between the Public Administration and individuals, as well as administrative responsibilities of public servants.

“It sanctions that public servant who fails to fulfill his duties, reviews government contracts, tenders, awards and litigation, such as the payment of taxes. This Court exists to provide certainty and legal security to citizens against acts of authority, and to avoid illegalities in the acts carried out by the government,” he explained.

For this reason, he criticized that these judges are “employees or former employees of Morena,” and considered that they will not be able to be impartial, because they will respond to the regime.
