The Dominican is happy by nature. He likes to celebrate, share and laugh. You don’t need a special reason: any meeting with friends, a sporting victory or a hot afternoon is enough to pick up a bottle, uncover it and let the unmistakable sound announce what is coming: a cold wedding dress.
That expression, so Creole and symbolic, describes more than a drink: it represents a custom deeply rooted in national identity. In the Dominican Republic, the beer is the queen of the toastthe faithful companion for conversations, grocery stores and beach days.
And the demand speaks for itself. In the country, more than 4.6 million bottles of beer every daywhich is equivalent to 115 million bottles every 25 days. A figure that portrays the magnitude of this national passion.
To respond to this beer appetite, the Dominican National Brewery (CND) recently inaugurated a modern Logistics Transformation Hubwith an investment greater than 2,900 million pesos. With an extension of 145,000 square metersthis center can store more than 115 million 12-ounce bottles, ensuring that there is no shortage of a cold one in any corner of the country.

“Our Hub, with 145,000 m2, has the capacity to store more than 115 million bottles of beer, equivalent to supplying national demand for 25 days. An achievement of that magnitude is only possible thanks to the daily work and effort of the more than 4,700 collaborators of our entire operation so that each consumer can enjoy a cold wedding dress wherever you are,” he said, Fabián Suárez, president of the CND.
- The event was headed by the president Luis Abinader and the president of the company, Fabian Suarezwho highlighted that this new infrastructure is a sign of the company’s confidence in the economic future of the Dominican Republic.
“Today we inaugurate a operations center which is consolidated as one of the largest in the country and the Caribbean. A promise kept, Mr. President. A firm step towards sustainable development and a tangible example of our unwavering confidence in the future of the Dominican Republic,” said Suárez.

Investment
The project involved an investment of more than 2,900 million pesos and will generate more than 500 direct and indirect jobsstrengthening the company’s logistics chain and national distribution.
Since 2021, Brewery Dominican National has executed a expansion plan which amounts to 17,640 million pesosreaffirming its position as the leading beer industry in the Caribbean.
“Since 2021 we have advanced an ambitious investment plan that totals 17,640 million pesos. Which shows that the Dominican Republic is not only an important market, but is the heart of Central America and the Caribbean of the operation of our parent company, AB InBevthe largest brewer on the planet,” said the senior executive.
Suárez pointed out that the consumption of beer in the country reflects not only a cultural preference, but also an economic engine that drives sectors such as transportation, tourismentertainment and commerce.
“Each project the beer industry energizes sectors such as transportation, tourism, entertainment and commerce. This progress is felt in every corner of this wonderful land,” he said.
Likewise, he highlighted that the new center was designed under criteria of energy efficiency and sustainabilitywith the aim of obtaining certification LEED for its environmental commitment.
“In Brewery we are committed with a prosperous future that generates value for all. We are committed to continuing to grow with the country for the next 100 years,” Suárez concluded.
