He Judiciary reported this Tuesday afternoon that a failure in the electrical power supply was the trigger for the momentary stoppage of one of the elevators of the Santiago Palace of Justice this morning, leaving a person detained inside.
The person who was held for some 15 minutes in it elevator He did not suffer any type of physical damage, the institution reported in a statement.
He clarified that at the time of the incident, the facilities were operating with the plant system emergency electrical. “When the distribution service was restored, a new interruption occurred, which activated the plant’s internal protection mechanism, causing its momentary blockage.”
In the statement, the Judiciary lament the inconvenience caused and reaffirmed that, “both the emergency generation equipment and the elevators are in optimal operating conditions and receive preventive maintenance periodically by specialized companies, thus guaranteeing the safety of people and the continuity of judicial services”.
