The Trade Defense Commission of the Dominican Republic (CDC) decided keep current the extent antidumping against imports of bars or rods corrugated steel for concrete reinforcement originating in Türkiye.
The decision is contained in the Resolution CDC-RD-AD-006-2025through which the entity ordered to open an investigation process that determines whether or not the rights will be lifted antidumping.
In a notice published this Tuesday, the CDC states that “based on the information available at this stage of the examination procedure, the existence of clues which lead to the assumption that, if the rights are eliminated antidumping in force, the practice of dumping in imports of the product under investigation”.
The entity explained that, for a period of 36 monthsif the rights are eliminated antidumping current, the rods would enter the Dominican Republic with lower prices of 13.2% in reference to the sales prices in the domestic market of the national industry.
Likewise, he adds that “the comparative analysis of prices in the Turkish domestic market and exports to the world, carried out with data from fastmarketsshowed that the exports of that country were carried out with margins of discrimination of 9.22%”.
Measurements in other countries
The Trade Defense Commission highlights that, during the period from January 2015 to September 2025, Turkish exports of rods were subject to four measures antidumping and two compensatory measures.

“Likewise, it is evident that various countries have implemented protectionist measures implemented to safeguard their steel industry from the effects of excess capacity that affect the industry in general, which could cause a diversion of trade flows towards countries without trade defense measures and negatively impact their national industries,” he established.
Through the resolution, the CDC informed the interested parties that they have a period of 30 business days for submit response to the forms established for such purposes and deposit the evidence and arguments that are considered relevant, a period that will end on November 26, 2025.
