In that sense, President José Jerí invited, using his social networks, the new mayor to a meeting with district mayors of Lima at the Government Palace early in the morning.
The purpose of the meeting, according to Jerí, is to agree on actions against the crime that plagues the capital.
“It is important to open spaces for dialogue and receive this week the mayors from all over our country duly represented by the different associations and unions,” added the president.
Among other things, the president is still waiting to assemble his ministerial cabinet, a situation that has generated speculation.
