SANTIAGO.- The Permanent Attention Office of the Judicial Services of this city, under a broad device of police securitybegan after ten in the morning on knowledge of the measure of coercion against eleven (11) agents of the National Police accused of murdering five men on September 10, while they were in a shopping plaza in the sector The Barranquitasouthwest of Santiago.
The hearing is headed by the judge Jerixa Cabralwho had postponed hearing the case on two previous occasions, at the request of the defendants’ defense, due to the lack of some documentation and to allow a more detailed analysis of the file.
He Public Ministry solicitous 18 months of preventive detention as a measure of coercion and that the case be declared complexby charging them with charges of association of criminals and voluntary manslaughter.
According to the accusation, the police arrived at the Valerio shopping plazain the La Barranquita sector, aboard three vehicles and, without saying a word, they opened fire on the men who were there.

Subsequently, the agents disconnected security cameras from several businesses in the square and stripped of their cell phones to some neighbors who were trying to record the incident.
The police patrol identified in the incident was made up of the elderly Alvaro Paredes Paniagua and Hansel Michel Cuevas Carrasco; the captain José Ignacio Gómez; the second lieutenant Saints Sunday; the capes Yohandy Encarnacion, Geyser Francisc Álvarez Rodríguez and César Augusto Martínez Trinidad; the sergeant major Socrates Fidel Happy Happy; the sergeant Hairo Mateo Morillo; and the satins Adrian Miguel Villalona and José Octavio Jiménez.
The victims were identified as Elvis Antonio Martínez Rodríguez26 years old; Julio Alberto Gómez (La Tabla)28; Carlos Enrique Guzmán Navarro40; Edward Bernardo Peña Rodríguez38; and the hairdresser José Vladimir Estevez25 years old.
This Tuesday’s hearing is considered determinant to establish the individual responsibilities of those involved in the quintuple homicide.
After the tragic event, the Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynosoordered an exhaustive investigation of the case.
