The president of the Vallecaucana Football League, Oweimar Bedoya, confirmed the expulsion of the América de Cali team in the Under 17 category of the Las Américas 2025 Tournamentafter an attack against the arbitration team.

He stressed that the incident has been brought to the attention of the Disciplinary Commission of the Vallecaucana Football League with the objective of proceeding at a regulatory, legal and disciplinary level according to the tournament regulations and the disciplinary code issued by the Colombian Football Federation.
“We go before this instance to proceed and begin with the investigations within due process and thus continue with the disciplinary sanction that these people who do not do good for football deserve,” said Oweimar Bedoya.
He emphasized that this body has the necessary powers to sanction athletes, officials and other members of the coaching staffwho have participated in the violent action and thus act as ordered by the members of the Disciplinary Commission.
