Military agents, assigned to the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), rescued a 16-year-old teenager, who had been kidnapped since last Friday.
According to a report published by the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), the “assertive investigation” that allowed the rescue of the young woman avoided the payment of the high sum in dollars that the criminals demanded in exchange for freeing the victim. This information issued by the military component was accompanied by a video showing the young woman being received by family members.
The teenager was kidnapped last Friday when she was leaving the Costa Granada Shopping Center, located in Puerto Ordaz (Bolívar).
In another GNB procedure, troops assigned to Detachment 621 (Ciudad Bolívar) arrested two members of the El Braily criminal structure. This operation was carried out in the El Perú neighborhood, Agua Salada parish, Angostura del Orinoco municipality of Bolívar state, says a report published by the GNB.
At the time of the two criminals’ arrest, 2 firearms, 4 cartridges of different calibers, 1 cell phone and 1 radio transmitter were seized, the report breaks down.
The detainees were verified in the Integrated Police Information System (Siipol) and both were requested by the First Control Court of Bolívar for the crimes of homicide and illicit possession of a firearm.
