Zúñiga headed that day to Soroyvo, located three hours’ walk from Guagueyvo, because there is no vehicular access.
In the community he carried out his activities as a surveyor and retired on foot back to Guagueyvo. Nothing has been heard from him since then.

Elements of the National Guard and elements of the State Investigation Agency (AEI) have already searched for the man in Urique, Bahuichivo, Creel and San Rafael. So far there is no more information.
Agents use helicopters to search for the worker, in addition to walking tours.
“State Civil Protection personnel established a camp in Guagueyvo to continue the search on October 13 and they could use ATVs, however, the terrain is too rugged,” said the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office.
Civilians from Urique have joined the search efforts in the last few hours.
Jorge Gabriel Zúñiga Carbajal is originally from the city of Chihuahua. According to the search form, he is approximately 1.65 meters tall, has a slim build, and has short black hair, as well as light brown eyes.
