This Monday, October 13, President José Jerí participated from the Government Palace in the Third National Multihazard Drill 2025: “For a Prepared Country.”
The objective of the exercise is to strengthen the preparation and response capabilities of the entities that make up the National Disaster Risk Management System (SINAGERD) and the population in general.
This is to respond in an efficient and timely manner to dangers of natural origin or induced by human action.
Once the drill was over, the head of state went to the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) in the district of Chorrillos, where he received the report from different regions of the country about the test.
The head of Indeci, Alberto Manuel Lozada Frías, gave an account of the people and institutions affected by the emergency.
“This exercise that we are developing today allows us to have a reading of the reaction capacity that we can have in situations of multiple crises in our country and also gives us the lesson of the things that we have to improve in order to be much more effective in situations like this,” said the president.
He maintained that a drill should call for reflection because all of us, without exception, have to be committed to this type of exercises and be fully aware that we are in a highly seismic zone.
In that sense, he called on the population to participate and take these types of activities seriously because they are creating a culture of prevention.
