The Ministry of Education (minedu) announced a new salary increase for more than 405,000 teachers, appointed and contracted, of basic and productive technical education of public institutions at the national level, which will be effective from March 2022. With this, the salary will increase between S / 100 and S/ 253, depending on their working hours and teaching scale.

This is what the Supreme Decree No. 031-2022-EF, published in the official newspaper El Peruano, which details how the increase will be, which will allow teachers to receive between S/ 2,500 and S/ 6,333. DOES THE SALARY INCREASE FOR TEACHERS CORRESPOND TO ME?
The increase corresponds to the following teachers:
appointed teachers
- Teachers appointed with a 30-hour day between S/ 2,500 in the first teaching scale and S/ 4,750 in the seventh.
- Teachers with a 40-hour day will receive between S/ 3,333 and S/ 6,333.
Hired teachers
- The salary of contracted teachers whose working day is 30 and 40 teaching hours is set at S/ 2,500 and S/ 3,333, respectively.
Commissioned appointed teachers
- More than 14,000 teachers appointed with commission will also have an increase in the additional workday allowance they receive for holding positions of greater responsibility, in accordance with their teaching scale and in response to the increase in the Full Monthly Remuneration (RIM) this year .
- Teachers who work as managers in the position of director of a multigrade or multi-teaching educational institution for a single shift will receive, adding their remuneration and the allowances for the position, between S/ 3,693 and S/ 6,693, according to their teaching scale.
- Those who attend two shifts will receive between S/ 3,813 and S/ 6,813.
- The deputy directors in charge will receive between S/ 3,573 and S/ 6,573
- Teachers with hierarchical positions will receive between S/ 3,513 and S/ 6,513.
- The education specialists in charge who work in the regional education directorates and the local educational management units will receive between S/ 4,233 and S/ 7,233.
It should be remembered that, in addition to their remuneration, teachers currently receive assignments by type and location of educational institution, which vary between S/ 70 and S/ 500, and may receive up to five simultaneous assignments.
