HOLY SUNDAY.– The Dominican Foundation for the Protection of the Elderly (Fundoproam) participated in ExpoAdulto 2025, an art and crafts exhibition where aging from Santo Domingo Este presented the work carried out during the year in different NGOs.
The activity was held in the Juan Pablo II Park of Ensanche Ozama, with artistic presentations, cultural exhibitions and great participation from the public.
“We feel at home in these activities. Fundoproam has given us a new life,” said Porfirio Taveras, 86, a resident of Villa Duarte.
The president of Fundoproam, Altagracia Minaya De La Cruzcalled to provide greater support to older adults: “Fundoproam and the other entities that work in favor of older adults, we call on the sectors that can collaborate, to approach us with a helping hand so that together we can build a second life for thousands of seniors who depend on our work.”
He thanked the support of CONAPEkey in protection programs for the elderly.
In addition to Fundoproam, the Dominican Society for Aid to the Aging (SODAEN), the El Almirante Grandparents Foundation, the Las Matas de Santa Cruz Pro Help for the Aging Foundation, the Cruz Jiminián Foundation, the Mano del Cielo Foundation, the Association of Progressive Women for Peace (Amupropa), the Helping the Grandparents Foundation, the Evangelical Foundation Lifting the Fallen, and the Non-Profit Association (ASFL) of Conape.
Present were Marianela de la Cruz, from the ASFL; Arelis Morán, from Judegu; Luisa Bruno, from Maná del Cielo, and Edita Sandoval, from Amupropa, among other personalities.
