Dina Boluarte's ministers continue signing resolutions despite vacancy

Former president Dina Boluartewas vacated on the night of October 9, 2025 and with it, his cabinet of ministers must also have left through the door of the Government Palace. However, to date, the new president José Jerí He has not yet announced who the new members of his new cabinet will be. Given this, Boluarte’s ministers continue signing resolutions.

The ministers of Defense (Walter Atudillo), Interior (Carlos Malaver) and Energy and Mines (Jorge Cornejo) signed resolutions granting travel permits to members of the Peruvian Armed Forces and Police, and also other types of procedures on October 10, when Boluarte had already been vacated from office.

The letters were published in the newspaper El Peruano on October 12. Although there is still no designated cabinet, the president indicated today that Eduardo Arana’s cabinet will not continue working with him in his administration and that he would already have a new president of the Council of Ministers.

GRATITUDE

The President of the Republic, José Jerí Oré, officially announced that he has accepted the resignation of the Council of Ministers that had been led by the now former Prime Minister Eduardo Arana. This marks the formal beginning of the transition to the new government that Jerí has ​​promised.

Through his social networks, the interim president thanked the outgoing cabinet for its work. “I appreciate the services provided to the nation by the members of the Council of Ministers led until today by Eduardo Arana,” President Jerí published.

With this, President Jerí confirms that he is seeking to form a new ministerial team within the framework of the “national reconciliation” that he announced upon taking office.
