The violent attack on the Agua Marina musical orchestra that occurred on October 8 in Chorrillos was perpetrated with the same weapon used in other crimes against singers, as confirmed by the Peruvian National Police (PNP).
According to the Sunday newspaper of Cuarto Poder, the forensic expertise Police Criminalistics Directorate determined that the extortioners used a 9mm Parabelium caliber weaponfor military and police use. This document reveals that the weapon used in this attack is the same one used in other attacks.
The samples are related to cases pending solution. One of the attacks is on Denbow nightclublocated in Villa María del Triunfo, where Luis Venegas Carraso and José Oria Infante died. The music producer and singer from Callao were shot at the door of the establishment in April 2025.
Another of the attacks that is related is in the murder of Marlon Luis Rivera (48), occurred on August 3, 2024.
ATTACK ON SEAWATER
As is known, during the concert, held in Chorrillos, the public was enjoying the show when, at 10:05 at night, a motorcycle approached from behind the stage and opened fire on the attendees.
The flurry of bullets interrupted the show and caused panic. Five were injured in this attack, among them a vendor who was trying to bring bread to his family.
This would not be the first attack against the musical group, since months ago, José Quiroga (founder of Agua Marina), confirmed to the Sunday newspaper that they were being attacked not only at concerts but also in their vehicles.
In this regard, the president of the Board of Superior Prosecutors of Lima Sur, Omar Tello, explained that the purpose of these attacks is not necessarily to cause deaths, but rather terror.
“The goal is to intimidate people, it doesn’t matter if they die or not, what they seek is to cause fear and obtain profits,” said.
