Fernández invited Boric to visit Argentina in April

President Alberto Fernández invited his Chilean counterpart Gabriel Boric on Friday to visit argentina next april 5at the same time that he offered to supply gas to the neighboring country, during a bilateral meeting he held with the new trans-Andean president on the day of his inauguration.

“I had a bilateral meeting with Gabriel Boric, president of Chile. I invited him to make his first official trip to Argentina on April 5,” Fernández wrote on his Twitter account, adding: “We agreed to reactivate the bilateral mechanisms of high level integrationdetained by the pandemic”.

“I also offered to supply gas to your country and we promised to deepen cooperation on human rights, gender equality, youth and minorities, and care for the environment,” he published.

“We have a lot to work on together,” he added.

For the Argentine president, “Gabriel Boric’s arrival is a hope for the Chilean people and a expectation for all of Latin America.

“Have a common look at the challenges of our regionwhich predicts an auspicious future for the relationship between Argentina and Chile,” he added.

Fernández and Boric Font held the bilateral meeting in the Presidential Palace of Cerro Castilloin the city of Viña del Mar.

There, the Chilean president expressed his interest in addressing social aspects as axes of its management.

Also participating in the meeting were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Santiago Cafiero; and his peer from Chile, Antonia Urrejola Noguera.

Also present were the Secretary for Strategic Affairs, Gustavo Beliz; and the Argentine ambassador in that country, Rafael Bielsa.

The dialogue between both leaders took place after Fernández participated in the handover ceremony at the National Congress of Chile, in the city of Valparaísoand attend a reception offered by his counterpart from that country at the Cerro Castillo Palace for the heads of state and government.
