What the PN says about the absence of agents in detachments

The absence of police in the main detachments of the National District is due to the retirement of at least 2,457 agents. This was reported by the spokesman for the National PoliceDiego Pesqueira, who clarified that these officers were dismissed due to seniority in the service and that none of them left the institution as canceled due to irregularity.

He indicated that of the 2,457 agents retired, 118 members of the institution were granted retirement due to disability, including a colonel.

He indicated that most of the retirees were senior officers and that, therefore, “it does not affect patrolling in the zones at all.”

Pesqueira said that from the uniformed a restructuring is being created and a strategic plan is being worked on to reinforce the detachments affected, especially those located in the National District.

“There is a restructuring that is being worked on, a reengineering of the services is being done by quadrant and we are looking for the agents to reinforce areas that have been a bit delicate”said the spokesman for the National Police.

The detachment located in Capotillo has 25 agents police to be distributed in the morning, evening and at night.

While the police force in La Zurza has 90 agents for all three shifts. Previously, this advanced campus had a total of 105 police officers.

A similar situation occurs with that of Villas Agrícolas, where there are only 23 agents, equally to be distributed in the three batches. According to the person in charge, they hope that when the Citizen Security plan arrives in this sector, they can include more personnel.
