Santo Domingo. – He Ministry of Public Health (MSP) confirmed the active circulation fingers respiratory viruses over the national territory.

The governing health body confirmed its presence in the country, through 10 respiratory samples processed through the Doctor Defilló National Laboratory.
This was reported in his most recent epidemiological bulletinwhere he also indicated that through the sentinel surveillance systemare reinforcing the early detection of these pathologies with precision diagnoses in laboratories and health centers, to guarantee the access to treatment prompt.
For this reason, the institution called on the population to maintain the sanitary measures to prevent contagion, such as frequent hand washinghe use of mask in symptomatic people, good ventilation of spaces, avoid self-medication and seek medical attention for respiratory symptoms.
According to Public Health, in addition to the influenza B victoria and respiratory syncytial virus, the circulation of other flu conditions has been reported in the country since January 2024, such as influenza A (H1N1)Covid-19, parainfluenza, adenovirus and metapneumovirus.
Other health indicators
For epidemiological week 39, the Ministry of Public Health also reported four cases of malariawith which there are 746 confirmed during this year, being Azua and Saint John the foci of the disease.

Likewise, he stressed that no deaths from cholera have been reported during 2025.
