Hidalgo is the state with the most fatalities, adding 16; followed by Veracruz, which has reported 15 deaths. Nine deaths were reported in Puebla and one more in Querétaro.
In addition, 27 people are missing and authorities continue their search.
After the meeting, President Sheinbaum assured that members of the Armed Forces and federal government teams are deployed to assist the victims. At seven at night there will be a second meeting to evaluate progress in serving the population.
“Our solidarity and support to all the people who lost a family member; the affected population will not lack anything,” he declared in a message through social networks.
During the virtual meeting, the governors urged support for the federal government to open the roads blocked by the damage and thus be able to bring support to the communities that remain cut off.
According to the Civil Protection report, 1,506 kilometers of roads, in the five most damaged states, were damaged and 664 kilometers have already been rehabilitated. Another 392 are under attention, with 122 machinery and 245 elements, and 112 remain interrupted.
The municipalities of Veracruz with the greatest damage are Álamo, Temapache, Poza Rica, Tuxpan, El Higo, Tempoal and Ilamatlán.
While in Puebla, damage was identified in 37 municipalities, in addition to five municipalities in San Luis Potosí, seven in Querétaro and 13 in Hidalgo.
In the five states, more than 320,300 people lost access to electricity, although at the moment the service has been restored for 75% of the cases.
To support the victims, Plan DN-III-E was activated and 5,400 members of the Armed Forces were deployed, who installed temporary shelters in Puebla and San Luis Potosí. 9,968 supplies and 117,000 liters of bottled water will also be distributed.
