At least 1,000 people from risk areas were evacuated preventively and are receiving humanitarian care and support.
“For the rehabilitation of roads and accesses, 26 units of heavy machinery are in operation dedicated to clearing landslides and removing material, in order to reestablish connectivity between communities,” details the Civil Protection report.
In the state of Querétaro there are seven municipalities with damage, 147 damaged homes, five communities without temporary access, five communication routes with damage and 16 hillside slides resulting from intense rains.
In addition, 4,512 people were left without electricity in five communities, where progress of 97.23% is reported in the restoration of service.
In Puebla, 16,000 damaged homes were also reported. The figure is preliminary because the verification and quantification process continues.
Here there are 37 municipalities affected. The damage reached an IMSS hospital and three communication routes. They also caused 83 landslides and slope slides in different regions of the state.
Around 26,442 people were left without electricity and progress to restore service is 14.48%.
The authorities set up 83 temporary shelters in different municipalities, equipped with mats, blankets and essential utensils, providing care and protection to citizens.
In the state of Hidalgo, 13 municipalities with damages were identified; 1,200 homes with damage, in addition to 308 schools, 59 health centers and 150 communities without access.
There are six overflowing streams, 71 communication routes with damage and 190 landslides or slope slides.
The CFE reported 65,443 users without electricity and a progress of 49.47% in the restoration of electrical service.
