With a consolidated trajectory in the country and abroad, guitarist Nelson Faria is the attraction of the small screen TV Brasil with an exclusive show at Music Scene. The performance in quartet format brings back hits from the national songbook. The show goes on air on the public broadcaster’s schedule in the early hours of this Saturday (11) to Sunday (12), at midnight.
The artist performs the work of personalities from the jazz, blues and Brazilian music scene such as stars Milton Nascimento, Roberto Menescal, Ronaldo Bôscoli and Tom Jobim, as well as his own compositions. The repertoire includes the songs The Little Boat and Vera Cruzin addition to the original songs Juliana, Waltz for Nathalia and Brooklyn High.
Guitarist, arranger, composer and teacher, Nelson Faria is considered one of the most important musicians on the Brazilian contemporary scene. Born in Belo Horizonte, the guitarist from Minas Gerais was present at several foreign festivals, such as those in Montreaux, Jakarta and Montreal.
In the performance recorded exclusively by the channel at Espaço Cultural BNDES, in Rio de Janeiro, bamba is accompanied on stage by Ney Conceição (bass), Marcos Nimrichter (keyboard) and Di Stéffano (drums). The show has the special participation of Ulisses Rocha, on guitar.
Presented by Bia Aparecida, the Music Scene brings music icons and new talents. The program is available on the app TV Brasil Play and on the broadcaster’s YouTube. The show led by Nelson Faria was recorded in May this year in the Sextas Instrumentais project.
