The National Assembly (AN) approved, in first discussion and unanimously, the Draft Law of the Commands for the Comprehensive Defense of Venezuela. The text was submitted to the Plenary for consideration, in the ordinary session this Friday, to unite efforts at all levels and guarantee the peace of the Republic.
“We have approved, unanimously in the first discussion, the Bill of the Commands for the Comprehensive Defense of Venezuela,” reported the president of the board of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, explaining that this bill was promoted by the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, through the General in Chief, Vladimir Padrino López.
Co-responsibility of all
The presentation of the bill was carried out by the deputy Giuseppe Alessandrellowho explained that the document subscribes to the co-responsibility of the State, and of all Venezuelans, in the face of internal and external threats.
He indicated that it also aims to coordinate all levels of the Venezuelan State and comply with co-responsibility in the defense of the Nation. He added that, with the norm, they want to strengthen peace, democracy and comprehensive defense.
The proposal has three titles and 35 articles, the parliamentarian reported, which contain a deep analysis and reflections that have been offered for many years by the members of the military institution, who sent the proposal to the Direct Board of the National Assembly.
It seeks to strengthen the unity of command to carry out specific tasks to protect sovereignty, he expressed, and clarified that the defense of the Homeland has no political position or color because we are all Venezuelans.
He called to not give up and assume historical responsibility at a time when the Republic is being harassed by the Government of the United States from the Caribbean Sea with eight ships, planes and other war weapons.
Response to external threats
For several weeks now, the American president, donald trumpordered the sending of the United States naval force to stop the alleged transfer of drugs to his country, an argument contrary to the truth, since Venezuela is an exemplary country in the fight against drug trafficking.
