Santo Domingo Este.– The Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED) established this Friday the provisional closure of the Euphoria nightclubafter confirming that the establishment was working without construction licenses or final technical certificationsviolating the Law 161-21 and current building regulations.
According to the administrative file, the MIVED had ordered the suspension of remodeling work from the June 17, 2025after verifying that the works were carried out without permits or technical supervision. However, the institution detected that, despite the order, the premises resumed its operations and commercial activitiesincluding the promotion of mass events.
The measure was adopted through the administrative act MIVED-VNRT-AC-013/2025issued by the Vice Ministry of Standards, Regulations and Procedureswhich provides the preventive closure of the establishment until its legal and technical status is regularized.

The vice minister Francisco Soliman explained that the institution has the duty to protect the life and safety of citizensguaranteeing that all buildings comply with established structural and safety standards.
“No particular interest can be above citizen security. The MIVED acts in accordance with its legal mandate to avoid risks to the population,” Soliman stressed.
The entity clarified that the preventive closure does not constitute a definitive sanctionbut a public protection measure which will be maintained until it is verified that the facilities comply with the required technical standards.
The MIVED reiterated its commitment to the legality, transparency and citizen securityhighlighting that the technical supervision and regulatory compliance They are essential pillars of public policy regarding buildings of the Dominican State.
