Rodolfo Antonio Ramírez, 50, was arrested and identified as the alleged perpetrator of the disappearance of your partnerLisset Melenciano Tejada, who was reported missing on October 5 in the San Cristóbal province, reported this Friday the National Police.
The institution explained that the arrest occurred following an order issued by a court, after the evidence gatheringamong them charred human remains and personal clothing.
Yesterday, authorities located charred human remains in a lot in front of the woman’s home, during a search operation in the Kilometer 3½ sector of San Cristóbal.
How was the discovery?
The discovery was made by agents of the National Policethrough the Regional Criminal Investigation Subdirectorate (Dicrim), in coordination with the Public Ministryas part of the investigative work related to the disappearance of the woman.
According to the report, researchers identified a area of removed earth on a front lot to the house of the missing.
- When digging, they found a hole covered with branches and sprayed with dieselwithin which they recovered bone fragments and charred remains with characteristics compatible with human tissue.
The Police reported that the remains were lifted and packed in accordance with the chain of custodyand sent to National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) for your anthropological analysis and scientific, in order to confirm the identity of the victim and determine the causes of death.
So far, authorities have not officially confirmed that the remains belong to Lisset Melenciano, although the location and conditions of the discovery coincide with the investigative line about his disappearance.
