The spokesman for the Peru Libre caucus, Waldemar Cerronsaid that the existence of the alleged “shadow cabinet” involving people close to Pedro Castillo should be investigated, but he also said that the former ministers of Mirtha Vásquez’s cabinet should be included in the investigations.
“I believe that the ‘shadow cabinet’ and Mrs. Vásquez, and Mr. Avelino (Guillén) and all those who have been there should be investigated because they are part of that government, of that configuration. Let everything that needs to be investigated be investigated.”he declared before the press.
The spokesman for the ruling party pointed out that any investigation is welcome but asked that it be carried out in a reserved manner.
“It seems that everything has been focused here in Lima and gives the impression that here they just want to investigate and not beyond. The investigation must be with the reservation of the case and with the people involved so as not to hallucinate and create a mirage of uncertainty in the country “commented.
Vladimir Cerrón’s brother also questioned the fact that as soon as a complaint or investigation becomes known, an image of guilt is immediately created. “We must be measured and let them investigate. The administration of justice has the floor this time”, he concluded.
Vacancy motion against Pedro Castillo
Waldemar Cerrón pointed out that the votes in the plenary session will determine whether or not the vacancy motion against the head of state proceeds, although he expressed the need for Parliament to work on generating laws in favor of the country.
“We will assume it, we will listen and they know that the plenary decides by vote and, if there are the necessary votes, it will go ahead. If not, I think that like all Peruvians, they should put their hands to their chests, to their brains, and get to work. Sometimes too much time is wasted on these issues when the country needs to address laws”commented.
