He Pope Leo XIV received in his office the archbishop of Caracas, Monsignor Raúl Biord Castillo, who expressed the gratitude and joy of the Venezuelan people for the canonization of the first two saints, scheduled for next Sunday, October 19.
The Caracas archbishop presented the process developed within the framework of canonization, under the name “Saints for All”, with communication programs on the lives of saints, promotion of citizen and Christian values, pastoral proposals, promotion of social projects in the area of health and education, prayer campaign and visits to hospitals, musical festivals, among other activities.
Biord Castillo told him that all of Venezuela will celebrate with great joy a true “Feast of Holiness” in Caracas, Isnotú and in all the dioceses and communities, according to a press release from the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Caracas.
The Pope was presented with statuettes of these two new Venezuelan saints, made by the artist Juan Carlos Granadillo. In this sense, he thanked the gift and the initiatives that are being developed to increase the faith of Venezuelans. “This canonization commits us to generating hope, encouraging encounters and encouraging people to follow the example of the saints.”

between the October 15 and 20 There will be several activities in Rome that include, in addition to the canonization mass, pilgrimage to the Holy Door of San Pedro, conferences, prayer vigil, thanksgiving mass, concerts offered by the Simón Bolívar Choir and the Sistema Children’s Symphony Orchestra, with the participation of 175 children from all the states of Venezuela.
He sunday 19 Masses of thanksgiving will be celebrated in the Caracas church of La Candelaria, Isnotú and parishes throughout Venezuela.
He Saturday October 25 The “Holiness Festival” will be celebrated at the Monumental Stadium, in La Rinconada, in Caracas, which will be broadcast live on the different television channels, in a signal generated by the Vale TV channel of the Archdiocese of Caracas.
He October 26, Cardinal Baltazar Porras will celebrate a solemn mass in Isnotú, and on November 1 there will be a great national celebration presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio, also in Trujillo.
