Deputy Fayruz Bazzi: World peace can only be built on pillars of justice

At the meeting with the International Communities of the National Council of Sovereignty and Peace, the deputy of the National Assembly, Fayruz Harayli Bazzi, raised her voice in defense of the Palestinian people, reaffirming that world peace can only be built on the pillars of justice, freedom and the sovereignty of peoples.

During his speech, Harayli Bazzi evoked the words of the president of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas: “We are not going to leave our land, peace cannot be achieved if justice is not done, and justice cannot be done if Palestine is not free and sovereign.”

As a representative of the Venezuelan people and spokesperson for the Arab community residing in the country, he thanked the humanitarian acts and the support of the Venezuelan State in the face of the crisis that Palestine is experiencing.

He recalled that the conflict has deep historical roots, dating back to 1948 with UN resolution 181, which proposed dividing the British mandate into two states, which triggered a war that still leaves consequences.

The deputy denounces that October 7 marked two years since the start of a “planned and disproportionate” war, made invisible by the mainstream media, dominated by imperialism, fascism and the right of veto of the United States (USA). In this context, he pointed out systematic violations of human rights, the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute.

Firmly, he questioned: “Where is the International Criminal Court, the more than 100 United Nations resolutions, the Oslo agreement, the recognition of more than 149 countries to the State of Palestine? Where is the condemnation of the occupation plan that Netanyahu has rudely called ‘total’, revealing its true intention?”

Finally, Harayli Bazzi described the situation as a genocide, referring to the more than 67 thousand Palestinian victims.
