Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) carried out two procedures in Caracas and Miranda that allowed the arrest of alleged criminals linked to robberies aimed at older adults and thefts in mechanical workshops.
The actions were developed after intelligence work, film expertise and citizen complaints.
On Lecuna Avenue, Santa Rosalía Parish of the Libertador municipality, two citizens allegedly linked to the band “Los foreigners” were arrested, dedicated to theft of the elderly. According to the investigations, those involved – between 50 and 70 years – approached their victims with apparent kindness, generating confidence and then submitting them through threats and leading them to their residences, where the robberies were concretized.
The organization would be made up of people from other nationalities, and the search for at least three individuals more related to these facts is maintained. The detainees were placed at the order of the Public Ministry.
Arrested for theft of spare parts in Petare workshops
In another procedure, a commission of CICPC Attached to the Municipal Delegation El Llanito captured a man on La Florencia street, Vieja Petare – Santa Lucía, Miranda state, for his alleged participation in the theft of vehicle pieces in mechanical workshops of the Sucre municipality.
The investigations determined that the subject entered the premises agilely to subtract value objects, which he later marketed. The detainee presented a history of common generic theft, and several pieces were recovered as evidence. The case was sent to the 48th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas.
